Empathetic Vaginal Health Treatment for Women’s Intimate Wellness

Vaginal health is at the core of much of what we do at The Women’s Clinic, with a range of procedures and treatments covering various conditions.

We treat painful vulva and vaginal opening or vulvodynia, a condition affecting up to 1 in 4 women which often occurs around the perimenopause or menopause. Application of the CO2RE Intima laser to treat vulvodynia has been proven to reduce pain, with almost 70% of women treated report a significant improvement.

We also treat itchy vulva, episiotomy scars and vulval and groin lesions, again using the CO2RE Intima laser combined with a local numbing anaesthetic.

And if you are experiencing Vaginismus, we can offer muscle-relaxing injections to help overcome the problem.

Our highly empathetic and discrete approach is backed up by the vast experience of our founder Amanda Pook, who has treated thousands of women over the past 20 years.

The Women’s Clinic welcomes self-pay, private patients at our Glasgow clinic. Our pricing is transparent with no hidden extras. Talk to us using the form below, and discover how we might be able to help with your vaginal health.

Vaginal Atrophy, Laxity, Prolapse and Dryness

Our primary treatment method for vaginal rejuvenation is the non-surgical CO2RE Intima laser.

Painless, safe and quick, the Intima laser targets aged and damaged tissue and promotes collagen and elastin production plus improved blood supply.

Vaginal fillers

For women who suffer from lack of vaginal sensitivity and vaginal laxity caused by wear and tear, hormone loss and childbirth, the world’s first safe organic hyaluronic filler, Neauvia Rose, can be safely injected within the vagina for instant results in most cases. Can also be used in conjunction with the CO2RS Intima Laser.

Painful Vulva & Vaginal Opening

Painful vulva & vaginal opening, or vulvodynia, is a burning pain or tenderness around the opening of the vagina and can affect women of all ages. By treating this condition with the CO2RE® Intima Laser Medical Laser, we can stimulate an effective healing response, resulting in the remodelling of the tissue fibers and nerves to reduce pain and restore flexibility and shape. The Intima Laser can also enhance moisture levels in the vaginal canal.

Itchy Vulva, Epsisotomy Scars and Vulval Lesions

Lichen sclerosus is a cause of itchy vulva and vagina that manifests as irritable and sensitive white patches around the genital area causing pain, sexual and/or urinary dysfunction, fusion of labia and reduced quality of life for women. We treat this condition with a fractional CO2 laser, a safe and effective alternative to steroids treatment. We also remove groin lesions such as skin tags, genital warts and polyps with the CO2RE Intima Laser. This technique carries no risk of infection or other complications which can occur during surgical excision.

Vaginismus Treatment

Women who experience involuntary tensing or spasms of the vagina, often at the outset of penetrative sex or when inserting a tampon or while getting a pelvic exam, are likely suffering Vaginismus.

This condition can make intercourse painful (dyspareunia), often leaving the sufferer distressed and embarrassed.

The Women’s Clinic’s women-led team of experienced gynaecological specialists can treat Vaginismus effectively with carefully applied muscle-relaxing injections.
