Graduating with honours MBBCh in 1997, Dr Elgmati is a member of the Royal College of Edinburgh, and received her higher medical training in Scotland. She has been practicing cosmetic medicine since 2015 and has extensive experience in laser and cosmetic medicine.

She is also a member of the Association of Scottish Aesthetic Practitioners (ASAP), the Aesthetic Complication Experts Group (ACE), the British College of Aesthetic Medicine (BCAM), the British Medical Association (BMA) and the General Medical Council (GMC) with license to practise.

She is trained in Scotland and has worked in a variety of specialities including surgery, trauma, accident and emergency, orthopaedics, acute medicine, dermatology, gynaecology and obstetrics, and received higher training in different medical specialities. She has been trained in several laser specialities and is fully trained in the Laser CO2 surgical device specifically for Laser Labiaplasty

Dr Elgmati has over 3 years’ experience in medical research which has resulted in number of publications.
